  • Issue 2 (2025)
    Vol. 1 No. 2 (2025)

We are delighted to publish Issue 2 of the HOWJ, closing 2025 with energy, momentum, and a strong sense of shared achievement. This issue affirms our early hopes: the journal is generating genuine interest and becoming a welcoming home for engaged scholarship.

The issue brings together contributions across Perspectives, Original Research Articles, and Reviews. We are especially proud to feature work by first-time authors and early career researchers, reflecting the journal’s commitment to mentoring emerging scholarly voices, alongside contributions from experienced scholars whose work continues to advance thinking about human occupation and wellbeing. Guided by the Ubuntu ethos, this issue reflects knowledge as a collective endeavour. We thank all contributors and invite readers to engage, reflect and grow with us.

  • Volume 2 Issue 1 2026
    Vol. 2 No. 1 (2026)

We are pleased to announce the release of HOWJ Volume 2, Issue 1.

This issue brings together a range of scholarship, from anti-oppressive occupational therapy praxis and the politics of historical erasure, to perinatal mental health inequalities, reliability findings on the new Occupational Resilience Measure (ORM1.0), relational ethics in teaching, interactive technology in practice, an occupational lens to understanding adjustment disorder, and a fresh occupational science reading on the occupation of dumpster diving.

We are deeply grateful to our authors, reviewers, and editorial board for making this new issue of The Human Occupation & Wellbeing Journal possible.
